Mexican+Korean=Del Seoul

So one of my good friends told me about this place in Chicago doing Korean Street BBQ with a Mexican twist. So I needed to try it and boy I’m glad I did. I started the sit down with a Sesame-Chili Shrimp taco it was spicy, filling, and very tasteful. Then I moved on to the Kalbi (Grilled Beef Short Rib) taco the meat was tender and very tasty just wished there was more Kalbi. Then I tried their special fish taco made with  Haddock fillets which again was very tasty.

Next me and my friend split a Seoul Style Street Dumplings. They come out on a steam tray which is pretty cool. Since I never had a chance to go to Seoul and actually try authentic ones I’m going to go out on a limb here and say these are pretty dam close!

Finally to end our great experience we tried their Kimchi fries which are french fries topped with sauteed Kimchi, onions and pork belly, scallions, melted cheddar and jack and then drizzled with sour cream. Now let me warn you that these can be a meal within itself! They were good but they did not knock me out of the park. I probably will not order them again.

Overall I would highly recommend this place if you are ever in Chicago.
